On Saturday, 28th June, the quiet community of Gontei came alive with hope, care, and compassion. SMILE, in its ongoing mission to support underserved communities, embarked on a meaningful outreach program that brought together essential donations, healthcare, and empowerment tools—all made possible through the incredible power of partnership.
This outreach was more than just a visit; it was a reminder that when we unite with purpose, real change happens.
SMILE donated a variety of personal care products, clothing, food items, and practical tools for farmers and dressmakers; items chosen not just for their utility but for the dignity and independence they promote. These resources will go a long way in improving both the daily lives and the livelihoods of many in Gontei.
The day was made even more impactful through our collaboration with Touch of Hope Foundation, who generously conducted free health screenings for the children, youth, and elderly in the community. Access to basic healthcare remains a challenge for many in rural areas, and this initiative brought critical support to those who need it most.
